Seat height adjustment
Hi Folks,
Need some help. Just bought an 04 reg 2.7 boxster manual. However, for some reasons the seats appear to be high. The only electric part of the seat appears to be for the back part and there is nothing on the side to lower the seat altogether. Any advice on how i can get the seats lowered??? There does appear to be a hole on both seats on the side of them next to the electric button. Thanks |

See the long horizontal lever on the seat? It's next to the switch that adjusts the backrest. Pull that hard when you are sitting on the seat, and it will go right down. |
I had this exact problem. On the driver's seat... there is a lever on the right side near the front of the neat (underneath). Pull that and then use some force and move the seat back or forth. It will go up or down. Don't be gentle with it, you HAVE to use some force to move the seat haha

the buttons for moving the seat up and down (button next to electric backrest button) are both missing (passenger and driver).
Lordblood.....ur suggestion is not possible as i dont have those levers/buttons. Kerplunk....u seam to be along the right lines here, (however) if you're referring to the levers/button as well then again, i dont have that on the side. HELP ME PLEEEEAAAASSSEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! |
Slide your seat forward away from the rear engine cover, then raise the horizontal lever on the side and, while seated, use your body weight to push back and the seat should pivot to a lower position.
If this lever is missing you'll need to either replace it or find another way to disengage the height locking mechanism. Make sure your seat back is not touching the carpeted panel behind the seat preventing it from lowering. |
having phoned porsche direct they have confirmed (having checked my chasis number) that the seat lever buttons ARE meant to be there. £14 for ONE!!!! who would have thought that a plastic button would cost so much!!!
