maintenance schedule: please help me!
I'm finding maintenance schedules on 986 Boxsters and all the 911s but I can't find one on the 2006 987s (which is what I own of course.)
Does anyone know what it is and what it entails, or where I can find that info. Mine has 11,000 miles on it currently; I had the oil changed at 7,000. Don't I have a big one coming up at 15,000? Thank you, everyone!! P.S. I saw the previous post about the 60,000 mile service for a 986, but I'm hoping for 987-specific info. Also... I tried visiting the suggested board in that thread, but I didn't have member privileges. :( |
Welcome to the forum!
Good for you that you changed the oil at 7K. You have a milestone maintenance coming at 12K. Other than changing the oil (which you won't need), the majority of the items in the 12K list are inspections (check brakes, tires, hoses, etc.). Not sure if your 987 has a cabin filter, but that is supposed to be changed too. Did your Box come with the owner manuals? There is a specific manual for maintenance. Mine is labeled "911 Carrera, 911 Turbo, Cayman, Boxster" and then below that in small letters it says Maintenance. It lists the items needing attn at each scheduled mileage interval. |
Here's the official service interval recommendations from Porsche. For your Boxster, go to the second page.
