temperature problems boxster 2,5
Hello,
I have a little temperature problems. highway speed boxster 2.5 temperature rise near 205, then cooling system is start working(blower). decrease temperature lower 200, but not normal level near 180. I change thermostat and wash radiators, but it's not help. Could be same sensor problems ? Thanks your answers |
If you have cleaned the radiators (by removing the front bumper), the coolant is new & level is OK, you may have a problem with the water pump itself. Some of the early cars had a problem with the pump vanes wearing or breaking off after a high km. You may have to invest in a new water pump & drive belt.

Thanks your answers,
I check radiators both side, it's looks very clean. I'm not removing front side bumber. Maybe i must check one more time radiators. Belt looks almost new, but i don't water pump condition. |
What are your ambient temps???
You may have lost some impellers on the waterpump, they are quite problematic. |
guggis - most of the debris that can block the radiators get between the coolant radiator and the aircon coil - they are sandwiched very close together and lots of leaves and crud get jammed in between the rads causing lack of airflow.
