Taillights gone goofy! Need advise!

A few days ago the computer tells me the right back blinker is out and then yesterday it is telling me the left brake light is also out.

So I take them out and the bulbs are fine. I then wiggle it around a little and it starts working. I put it back in and it quits in about 5 minutes. I then repeat and it is working now....but for how long?

I then notice that when the headlights are on only one break light works and then the headlights are off only the other side works. The computer is not saying anything though.

I live in a high humidity climate with a LOT of rain so I am thinking this is just corrosion. My question is should I just spray it down with contact cleaner and wiggle until it works? This may seem like a dumb question but I once put contact cleaner on a plastic devise and it melted it and I cannot afford to break things where I live since getting new parts here is a giant pain in the ass.

And is there some product I can put on them to stop this problem?

Clean them up w/ a spray cleaner (test 1st to make sure it doesn't attack the plastic) and then give the bulb/socket a lite coat of dielectric grease (avail at most auto parts stores). This will protect the metal contacts from moisture/corrosion while still allowing current to flow.
