Does The Bmc Air Filter Trigger Cel??
Im looking into getting a BMC air filter, I was wondering if anyone has this in their car and if it has triggered a CEL or issues with the MAF?
Please let me know thanks |
I have a bmc and have had no problems.

unless you are very careful, there is always the danger of over-oiling it.
The excess oil will then go airborne and may or may not foul up your MAF When I brought my car to my last service my trusted mechanic gave me the "are you out of your mind" look, pulled out the BMC, threw it in the garbage and replaced it with an OEM filter .... |
I've been using a BMC for 5 years without issue.

BMC filter works great. No issues.
Fabspeed dyno'ed recently on an '03 S and showed a 4hp increase. |
Used a BMC for about 5 years no issues here either. Very pleased with it. Just properly wash it and oil it like any other reusable filter...that is the key to problem free use.

Sorry, I couldn't resist. The debate over aftermarket vs. oem air filters has been going on for a long time. I'm not trying to continue it. |
