Need help tracking down a clunk/rattle

I am trying to chase down some front end rattling but I cannot pinpoint where it is coming from. I know that my control arms are creaking and they are due to be replaced soon, but this noise doesn't seem to coincide with it, plus I can only notice this 'rattle' at lower speeds and sounds like something is loose.

My first thought was the upper strut brace, but I checked and although it was loose it was not the source of the problem (yet it did seem quieter). I had just enough time this morning to pull the left wheel and check for anything loose and it was still good.

Maybe it is the front hood and the reason I don't get the noise when I am moving along is from the air down force?

Thanks
Chris

If you can get the car up on ramps and have someone turn the wheel while you listen for noise.

Maybe the sway bar drop links. Check these drop link mount bolts for tightness .

Or maybe they need replacing?
