Tranny noise at idle?

Well I replaced the motor, clutch, flywheel and anything else that has to do with whatever.... The tranny had a rattle at idle when I took the motor out. I thought the new flywheel would help. NO it is not the throw out bearing. The rattle goes away when you step on the clutch. It goes up with RPM's and down. Any Ideas? It has new tranny fluid from porsche and I made sure it was topped off when I just did my new flywheel. When I changed it there was no metal in the fluid at all. I drained it with a magnet underneath the stream of fluid. Do I rebuild it? Buy a new one? Does anyone have a 5 speed laying around? HELP :) Car drives fine, no issues shifting or anything.

I had a similar rattle when I had the clutch replaced and the tranny rebuilt on a Honda accord. I'm not sure if its exactly the same but it sounded like sheet metal rattling. It went away after a while. The mechanic said it takes a couple of days for everything to "seat" properly. I could be wrong though.

This tranny is the same one that I have had in the car.. It has 40k on it. I may have it rebuilt depending on the cost of that or get a used one. Thanks for the input though

If I remember this well, a bad throw out bearing will get quiet when you push the clutch down and noisy when let out.

Did you install a light flywheel?? Did you keep the solid centered disc or go with the new spring centered disc?
