haha... thats not surprising at all. I love my boxster. Its my first car and I know that for the rest of my life I will only own Porsche.

Somehow I think I was brain washed.

The more I read about the Jaguar XF ( most recommended Executive luxury car in the survey ) the more I like it :

Nick, thats weak. If it aint Porsche, it aint right. And for you to debunk Porsche and swerve this thread off topic makes me wonder if you are in the 3% who would not recommend Porsche .

PE,

Trust me, if I could afford a Panamera I would consider that over a Jaguar any day ( the S model is $90k ! ) but I don't see that happening anytime in the near future.

The XF, on the other hand, with a base price of $49k, will be easily obtainable in a couple of years...

If only I could fit my wife and daughter in the Boxster at the same time, I wouldn't have the need for a 2nd car ( see - I drank the Kool Aid too ! )

Nick:
I have owned a 2004 Jag XJR for 2 years now. Got it with 24,000 miles and now have over 75,000. All I can say is great car. Absolutely no problems. Wonderful customer service at the Tampa Jag dealership with much more reasonable prices than the Porsche dealership.

Tata did buy Jag from Ford and is revamping the entire line. In 2010, the new XJ will come out. Looks like a Bentley. No more leaping Jaguar on the hoods (I will miss them).

The XF is a great car. Very comfortable and handles well (but not a Porsche). If you can afford it, get the "R" series with the supercharger. Much faster.

As a DD, I would recommend the Jag.

Eric
