Name this sound

This weekend I was waiting at a drive-thru and I thought I was hearing a sound coming from the car behind me. That car tired of waiting and pulled away.
Sound is still there! Must be mine.
I'll describe the sound as a weezing with an up and down sorta inconsistent pace.
It was coming from the back driver's side by the intake. No CEL. I was due to change the air filter, which I did and the sound is still there but wasn't as loud as that particular instance. I'm wondering if it was there all along but just didn't notice it because of all the other noises going on.
By the way, car is idling perfectly.

It may sound like an oil breakdown to some, but I'm betting it's something else.

My guess would be either a vacuum hose or the AOS.

Lifting the top to the service position and using a small piece of hose held to the ear may help you isolate, and identify it.

Yes, as in vacuum leak. There are several possibilities and the only way to figure out which is to open the top and listen inside.

From your description, I doubt it's anything big, probably able to fix it w/o replacing any parts.
