Aftermarket pedals

Yesterday I was at the track. This was the first time for me at the track with race shoes on. In the past I always wore regular athletic shoes (cross-trainers). I've never had trouble heel & toeing with those shoes on. However yesterday, I had a really hard time with the racing shoes. The soles of the shoes are much narrower than the athletic shoes soles, which actually flare out at the bottom. The feel is awesome in the racing shoes though.

I use ball of the foot, left edge of the foot to heel & toe.

Can anybody recommend an aftermarket pedal set that makes it easier for this type of heel & toeing? I'd prefer something that isn't flashy (aluminum). I don't want my car to look like a ricer car. So I'd prefer something in black. I also would rather avoid spending $200 for the Rennlines, or any other pedals. The Rennlines look nice, but that's the cost of a track event.

you could just get the Rennline gas pedal for $75:

They also have extensions for $35 that you can add:
