Dark Olive Metallic color and Natural Brown Leather

A couple of questions from a newbie regrading features on a 2006 model for sale on Ebay.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CRTFD-1-OF-A-KIND-2006-Porsche-Boxster-S-Convertible_W0QQitemZ110384605923QQcmdZViewItemQQp tZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item19b36f6ae3&_trksid=p4506 .c0.m245&_trkparms=65%3A7%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318

Dark Olive Metallic does not seem to be offered as a 2009 Boxster color, but it might still be a Cayenne color. Is this something like British Racing Green? Or is there another current Porsche color like BRG?

Natural Brown Leather - - this was purportedly a $3000 option a couple years ago. Can anybody explain why it was so expensive?

Thanks.

Nice car.

Porsche changes the colors all the time. Names and prices. Some years a standard color becomes a special color. The opposite is true too. Some special colors in 2006 ($3,000 then) cost only about $800 now.

As for the Natural Brown Leather option, don't forget you are getting Full Leather with that. So, the upcharge is only about an additional $1,000 over the full leather. For that $1,000 upcharge you get a little more exclusivity. Color is similar to Sand Beige.

This is one of the great aspects about Porsche and doing a custom order. You can get just about anything you want. But, be ready to pay.

The Order Guide for my 2006 was 65 pages long! The only limitation is money.

That is a beautiful car and wonderful color combination. I personally am a big fan of earth tone colors, those two together work well imo. Only drawback for me is the transmission, for others though could be a selling point. Either way, those late model Porsches are making alot of past wannabe owners very happy.
