Oil around intake manifold (pics)

I was taking out my air filter to service it and I noticed some oily residue around the plumbing going into the intake manifold. Any idea of where it is originating?

Tube from the AOS?

Look at the throttle body and the intake tube downstream of where that ~1" tube enters and see what you find in there.

Instructions are on Pedro's web site for cleaning the throttle body and mine for replacing the AOS.

Thanks Mike, I'll take a closer look at that and see if it could be stemming from the AOS tube, however, I just went back down to investigate and I noticed my power steering fluid is low and the cap was all sticky/gunky. The dipstick is bone dry so that's not good. I can't tell how the fluid could've leaked out yet.

I do know I need to top it off with some fluid. Is there an ok alternative to Pentosin the local auto stores carry? I don't think they carry Pentosin CHF 11 S.

Errr...I did some checking and it looks like you shouldn't mix brand X with Pentosin 11S so I'll have to order some. Found one of MN's old posts where he linked a place that sells it for $18 a liter which is cheap for this stuff. I still don't know exactly how this stuff leaked out or if that is PS fluid on the manifold. I haven't noticed any issues with the steering so it looks like I caught it before problems developed. The cap was on tight so I don't know how or where it got out. I'll just have to refill and keep an eye on it.

There is a breather hose connected to the power steering resevoir which vents to atmosphere. The fluid could be coming from that, though its only an overflow if the fluid overheats if I remember correctly.
And you are correct, don't mix Pentosin with any other fluid.
