Key programing question

If I have the cut key blade, the transponder pill, AND just need the 3-button fob / transmitter...do I still have to take it to the dealer to program?

The buttons have worn out on my key and I would love to save a few $$$.

Not at my indie. As best I can tell, you can start the car with "pill" taped to the shaft. If you can pull your new head apart, you ought to be able to do it yourself. That is if the "pill" is the coded dodad.

Regards, PK

Just had two keys programmed by the local dealer - just $50.
