Really need help with gas tank

Okay, I've been through all of the threads and boards.

Here's the deal. When I pump gas it just spills out... I've changed the fuse and taped the phone jack (Like some threads have said to do)...

I still do not hear the "click" that you are supposed to hear...

So here's my question...

I know that the fuel sending unit hoses can block the vent in the tank (So I've read)... Now, if that's the case would that keep the "Clicking" sound from happening?

I'm trying to narrow things down before I start tearing into the tank... I've done it before in my Audi so it's not that intimidating.

Anyway, I'm really getting frustrated...

I would really appreciate any help. I don't know what else to do besides give the stealership $ and I REALLY do not want to do that.

Anyway, thanks for any help that I can get.

I have similar problem, where I could never fill the tank past 3/4 full and a real pain just to get any gas in it.

I read somewhere that if you turn the pump handle upside down, that this would stop my issues. Well, it WORKED!!

Yes, I probably look like a dork, but being able to fill my tank without sitting there for 10 minutes, click after click, is a lot less embarrassing.
