Anyone know if there is more than one part# for headlight switch?

A few weeks ago my headlights stopped working. I got on line and researched the problem and found that the swithes are often problematic. A local mechanic ordered one for me and after installing, I discovered that it was not the switch at all, both headlights were burnt out at the same time and I had checked the high beams and not the low beams (doh!). With the new switch installed however, I found that the hi-beams and fogs wouldn't work. Putting the old switch back in restored full function.

So I'm left with an almost new switch that I'd like to sell but I don't want to sell it as a Boxster light switch if it might not work properly for someone else. Is there more than one switch or could mine be defective?
