question about replacing front window

A rock hit my window and I need to get it replaced. I have a 2000 986 non-S. Does anyone know if I can replace the glass with one that has a rain sensor? If I can, how complicated/expensive is it to wire the sensor?
Thanks

Eric

My understanding is that the rain sensor and windshield are independent of each other. So the sensor has nothing to do with the windshield. It seems like you have to dismantle part of the dash and run the sensor wire down to the relay board. That is doable but complicated.
Try a search for more info, I was able to find this:

Thanks for the information Rick. I think I will save the money and do it the old fashtion way, turn on the wiper with my hand.
