Boxster 986 2001 central lock problem
Hello!
I'm out of ideas, so I decided to ask if any of you have had similar issues.
- Central locking will open both doors from both sides.
- Central lock will NOT lock both doors, have to lock both sides individually.
- The dashboard lock button does nothing (however it used to work last summer).
- I had an aftermarket stereo system installed, but can't remember if the dash button stopped working before or after. The doors, however, never locked from one side only.
- Both locking mechanisms from both doors have been replaced with OEM parts.
- ECU has no water damage
- Fuses are as good as new
The car in question doesn't have remote locking, just a central locking system that has to be used with the key in lock.
