Front hood help

I have a 2002 and the switch is not opening my front hood (rear works fine). I've read the previous posts and there are comments about an emergency release cable, but they all refer to 2001 or earlier. Does my 2002 have the same cable under the passenger side bumper (and why dont they tell you about it in the manual)? if so, whats the best way to get to it. If not, what are my options? Thank you!

I also have a 2002 and if you open the passenger door near the upper door hinge you should see the release wire. Good Luck

I wish it were that easy. That cable is the emergency release for the gas cap lock. I have used it in the past, and unfortunatly the cable broke too.

Ive got to get one of those Bentley books. The only thing I wonder is what if it's not the relay, but rather the solenoid that controls the latch.
