Carrera Lites - Where to Buy?
Hello Everyone,
Can anyone suggest a good place to purchase some Carrera Lites ... I am thinking aftermarket as the OEM ones are quite costly.
Thanks in advance!

I worked with Carlos and mentioned this forum...man for some reason I want to say he shipped them free. I remember at the time thinking I got a great deal....I'm not home and probably don't have a receipt to look it up sorry....I'll check a couple places tho...if I come across it I'll post it up here.

Here's another happy customer of Wheel Dynamics. I did talk to Carlos and since it was local and mentioned this forum, the shipping cost was free and I think that summer time, there were 3 or 4 of us who bought a set from Carlos.
I can't find the receipt but I know it didn't cost me and arm and a leg plus it was the best deal I've found during my search.

Light weight?
You folks who have bought the lightweight Carrera replicas. Are they truly as light weight as the original Porsche wheels? They are TUV approved so I imagine there should be no quality or strength issues as they have to perform at Autobahn speeds. Price is good from Wheel Dynamics as good as I have seen online.
Does anybody know the weight of the Porsche Boxster specific 17" wheels so as to compare weight gain or loss by installing the larger 18" ?

The real wheels are made by BBS. I don't think I've heard of any BBS replica wheels weight the same as the real thing. Then again, you paid half the price so most people don't expect them to be.
Later Boxster 17"s (mine) are supposed to be lighter than earlier ones. I'm sure the 18"s are the same weight if not slightly heavier (assuming both are cast, not forged) but you save a bit of weight on the tires.

no need to spend twice as much. You can get the real deal here for 400 a rim (more, but not twice as much):

Rear ones are out of stock but I signed up for them to email me when they're in stock.
Too bad they're used parts but thanks for the link anyways.
