Will a '03 S Muffler Fit on a '01 S ?

I want to modify a muffler for my '01 S. I have the opportunity to buy a '03 S muffler. I believe that the tail pipes are bigger and I am not sure they will fit my stock rear bumper opening. I know that the '03 rear bumpers were a different style. Thoughts? TIA

Just an update.... an '03 will fit an '01 without issue.

The only difference I am aware of is the tip is welded on the earlier car?

2000 to 2004 are suppose to be the same.
