GHL or Borla exhaust for 01 986 S

Hi all,

I am trying to decide between the Borla and the GHL exhaust for my 01 Boxster s.

Does anyone have any insight for comparison.

Thanks

both drone like hell between 2k ~ 3k RPM
The GHL is louder and sounds better

I'd personally go with this:

The consensus on this subject is GHL and Borla etc. all drone at 2500-3000 rpm. They sound great but you must be prepared to put up with the resonance. The Pedro mod or Fister mod don't sound quite as good but there is no resonance. I had Darin Fister mod my 2000S stock muffler and I am very satisfied. He is located in Knightsen, CA. The cost was less than half of what a GHL or Borla would run.

The Pedro mod with secondary cat bypass pipes is fairly loud, but not overly so. The nice part is the mods sound really sweet when on throttle, but no resonance when cruising.

Some of the aftermarket mufflers just don't sound right to me when I hear them at the track. My car has more of a GT3RS sound than just plain old noise.
