Rip out stereo without stereo tools???? Possible???

I just got the ipod adapter for my stereo and am wondering if anyone has installed it themselves or if someone knows of an easy way to rip it out without the use of the official tools...

I am not aware of any way to remove the radio without a set of radio keys, short of destroying your dash. They are only a few dollars on eBay, or at your dealer.

Exactly what I was going to post why risk it? I used to do radio installations at my dads dealership a lot, I'll tell you this, even with the keys used a 220 can be a bit of a tussle to get out, I've seen better release designs, it's not like the old school units where a U shaped coat hanger will suffice. Ironically, if would be thieves knew anything about that factory unit they would save their efforts for a better score. One more thought, if the place you are buying the new unit from does installation, just ask them to pull it.

Yes, but you have to take out the entire middle section of the dash. Not a huge deal, once you pop off the two sides there are four torx screws that you have to take out, then the whole stereo, cup holder and vent section pulls out.
