What's your Porsche Policy?
What do you find yourself most passionate, for lack of a better word, about when it comes to your posts on this board? Another way to ask this is, what is a subject you find yourself quick to defend/reply/comment/ridicule/praise?
Here are mine:

Using our cars as they were meant to be used.

Anytime the collective power of the board results in an effective repair without a trip to a mechanic is gold to me. It's easy to know the strong and weak points of the car and effect preventative maintenance with such a wide sample of owners. The rest is great camaraderie among people who enjoy the gift of a spirited drive in their "top down safer motorcycle". I hate winter and being out of my car, being able to stop in here reminds me it just happens to be hibernating, it will be back.

The IMS and RMS are issues that seem to be emotional for many.
Repair costs in general are of interest to folks. :) |
very well said EE3, I would echo that. Always looking to impart on the collective what I know and have learned. So as my knowledge and experience grows I find myself able to defend/reply/comment/ridicule/praise a wider range of topics.
What you may not notice is my passion to stay out of off-topic and politically related subjects, I'm just here for the cars. ;) |
Technical/mechanical information is what I came here for. Comraderie is what kept me around.

I defend the "amber"!
I'm interested in any reasonable iPod solution for a 987 (haven't seen many) Agree with the early post about driving the car the way they were meant to be driven - i've never driven a car anywhere near as hard as I do my box. |
Drive the box every day of the year. Even in a Canadian/Buffalo winter. It can do it, and it loves it ... and it never fails to put a smile on my face after work.
Hey, the way I see it, it's not like it will be my last p-car, so I'm going to enjoy it to the fullest! I'll defend winter driving 'till the day I die as long as I live in the north ... of course a C4S might be helpful ... :D |
V1 vs. everything else for me. After you use one for a couple of months, you'd see what all the hubbub is about. Otherwise, it's just a waste of time to argue with its merits compared to other windshield mounted models.
The other hot button I have is INCREDIBLY POOR PORSCHE PARTS QUALITY and STEALERSHIP PARTS PRICES. I swear, if I have to replace another control arm I'm gonna blow my head off... I don't even track my car for goodness sake! |

I'm not interested in running mine in the annual salt bath, I don't know when I'll get another one or if I ever will. Other than the ground clearance I'll bet the traction is pretty good. |
