Caliper logo decal sizing

Mine is a non-S 2001 Boxster. I am about to paint the calipers red and bought decals from xenonmods.com

They say on their site....."The default size for the Porsche caliper decals is 3.5"x.245" - this is the standard size on all '94-up models. Prior makes/models used different sizes, so using the dropdown at the right will let you choose the size right for your car!"

But when I measured the white PORSCHE on my stock calipers they were 3" long, not 3.5" .

Can an S owner of a 986 out there please measure the length of the logo on your caliper. I want these to look stock and may have to send back the 3.5" decals.

Thanks,
Bob

Hey Bob, I don't know what the standard sizing is but my decals from Xenon mods has worked and look perfectly. More important than sizing is making sure that you get it on properly and not have it too high/low or crooked. I compare my painted calipers to my friends with S's and my brakes look better. The stock calipers lose their luster over time as do the lettering. I used a Dupli color kit (brushed on) and it looks fantastic.
