Smoking engine :(

Hello,

i have Porshe boxster 2002 with engine 2700 ccm. I am the second owner of this car and I have bought this car about 2 months ago. Everything seemed to be fine fine, until i have changed oil. Then my engine started to smoke. First only when engine was cold and after couple days it was smoking everytime. The color from smoke was dark blue.

When i was changing oil, i matched oil level with MAX line. Then, after problem appeared, i have read somewhere, that for this kind of engine the level of oil should be only slightly above MINIMUM line.

I will appreciate any idea which could help me to identify the problem.

Thank you

(my engine has only 100 000 km)

Sounds like your oil seperator was starting to fail then completely failed. No biggie.

Look on here for the part no. info and a D.I.Y.

Yes, sounds like your AOS (Air Oil Separator). It should be an easy fix.
