you know, i wish we had those prices in the UK....
$19,000 for a boxster is superb!
to give you an idea a boxster 2.5 with 110,000 miles and front damage to bumper and headlight, smashed windshield, no rear bumper, car full of scratches, no wheels... they were damaged beyond repair. that is sitting at £14,000 which is about $26,000
I wish we had those USA prices over here in England.
I bought my boxster new in 1998 and it has 78k on the miles now and the re-sale value of my car is £24,000 to a garage which is about $46,000
If i sold my car priavte i can ask £26,000 which is $50,000 for a 1998 2.5 boxster.
So $19,000 for a boxster is like for FREE... go for it!
Here is an example which is one of many, slightly cheaper than normal: This is prices at $43,000
My country sucks! massive prices, no wonder i always get a bargin on ebay lol

Push,
Based on recent wholesale trades done where I buy my cars that particular vehicle would be sold for $14,800.

Porsche986..... Seattle is dead nice and I know what you mean about the prices in the UK, I'm from Portsmouth area and now live in the middle of Canada. Had to have a laugh at old David Dickinson and Ackland Car Centre motto "Cheap as Chips" I think he should stick to Bargin Hunt. LOL.

The UK has absolutely NOTHING on car prices compared to the forum member who lives in Singapore. He paid $110,000 USD (gulp!) for a three year old Boxster!
Let's all take a deep breath and thank God we don't live in Singapore. Not a place for car lovers, that's for sure!

Some countries have very high sales tax on import cars. For example in Egypt, the tax on imported cars is %400.

Silver with GREEN interior? I've seen pics of this car before I believe (at least the color combo). I would think you can deal aggressively on the price as this is a...unique color combo that I presume is not in high demand.

As a dealer, I would not touch this combo as likely I could not move it. That does not mean you should not buy it, simply plan on a long wait when you go to sell it or a low trade if you do that.

yeah not only do their Boxster prices suck but they have to pay about twice what we pay for gas (petrol) !
I'm putting about $25-$30 a week in this car. Imagine having to pay $60 a week! I don't know how anyone can drive an S while trying to conserve gas (short shifting etc, slow driving).
But then again maybe in the UK they don't pay $1600 a year in insurance coverage.

Trop cher pour moi, mon ami.
Vous habitez donc a Paris, ou dans les banlieux?

My insurance is 2100 GBP which is about $4000 per year.
This is fully comp
I am 25
It has been around $4000 for years now. When i got my car it was $6000 then in the year 2000 it dropped to $4000 per year so i am guessing when my insurance is due again in may it will be $4000 AGAIN!
For a full tank of gas its 52GBP which is $101.00
hey randel,
my mate lived in singapore and he owned a 7 bedroom house, swimming pool, marble floor, super house.. anyways he moved as he was sick of people being gunned down every night in the area, now the area wasnt rough but it was a drug dealing place and you can guess what was going on. Anyways he was forced out and came back to england. He sold his house and everything and yet he could not even afford a flat here in the UK. He could only afford landlord property. I still go and see him and hes slowly getting back on track now.
I didnt know car prices are that high there, are you sure the forum member said $110,000. and it was that country?
