Stainless steel wheel lugs, where to buy?
Where do you guys get yours?
The ones I see available are on ebay, but they only come in 20 so you'll have to use your existing security wheel lugs. |
ekam,
I bought the set of 20 from eBay. Until that point I was using the OE security lug bolts just because they came with the car. I had read some instances of the OE security "key" breaking at the most inopportune moments so I was planning on getting rid of them anyway. Yes my wheels/tires are more at risk when left out in public but it is a calculated risk I'm willing to take at this point. If there is a SS locking lug with a high quality key I may be interested as well. Best of luck. ddb http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r...rown0529/2.jpg |
0 deductable comprehensive coverage is better than wheel locks IMO, it's really cheap from State Farm.

It would be fun to stare at the car while calling the insurance and tell them that your wheels are missing, meanwhile you're immobilized. If they're going to steal it nothing will stop them, but most of the time these crimes are not well planned and the security lock is just a simple deterrent. Here's a picture posted by member Trieullionaire... I wonder if he got the OEM security lug custom chromed by a shop. http://img403.imageshack.us/img403/3...rim3bk7.th.jpg |

4 wheels x 5 bolts per wheel (one locking & 4 regular) = 20 ;) |
