Can't find OEM Catalytic Converter - what's up?

Trying to find pricing on the catalytic converters for my 2002 986 and can't seem to find any available parts from Suncoast, Pelican or anywhere else. Anyone have a link they can send or an idea of price for a single cat, pre and post? All I seem to be able to find are universal cats and I don't know, I just don't feel comfortable putting anything universal on my Boxster.

I'm trying to get up the cash to get the MaxSpeed full exhaust system (cats, headers, exhaust) which is running for about $2100 on Ebay. But if I can't get the money I'm looking to just replace the passenger rear cat which seems to rattle and crackle quite a bit.

Thanks,

Tim

why not get rid of them completely?

Won't that just lead to a CEL and problems with passing smog emissions?

If you have an 02, you can delete the secondary cats with no effects on CELs or emissions (provided your state merely scans the OBD-II port for errors). The pre cats are in the headers, and the O2 sensors are before and after these.

I am trying to for the life of me to figure out why the MaxSpeed NHP exhaust is using two cats, the first of which are in horribly designed headers.

Heck, if you're interested, I have a FabSpeed exhaust sitting in my basement I just got back from FabSpeed re-polished with a new midpipe under warranty you can throw on your car which will get rid of your secondary cats and give you a great sounding exhaust. Half the price of retail, PM me if interested.

By the way, you don't even want to ask what factory cats cost...

yeah, u can remove the secondary ones.
btw, on my previous car, i ran headers and no cats right to a SLP exhaust, no cats. passed emission two times, but that may be illinois, i dont think anyone here cares whats done to the car lol.
also, that being said i had a emission code pop up (forgot the codes), and took it in anyways, and passed lol
