Suggestions on 2000 S Bumper replacement

I had the misfortune of a small woodland creature darting out in front of me last night. After doing the fur removal this morning it was apparent I will need to replace the cover. Do other years fit easily? I know the 996 for 2000 fits as my little brother had this issue a few years ago. Suggestions would be appreciated.

Yes other years will fit with some exceptions....

First of, w/ a S you'll need the center radiator cut out so you'll be fine w/ any S Boxster cover up to '04 (you could go non-S and just cut it yourself if need be). You'll also be ok w/ any 996 cover up to '02 (where they changed it for the 'fried egg' headlights). On base 996s I think you'll need to cut the black cover over the 3rd radiator but at least it has the opening in the painted portion of the cover. Plus there are lots of aftermarket options. Sorry to hear about your misfortune but good luck....

PS - FYI - there is a current bumper thread over in the Show & Tell Gallery - here

I'd suggest the Porsche MK1 GT3 bumper. It's OEM, so the fit is near perfect. It will line up perfectly with your radiator shrouds. It has the cutout for the S center radiator. Plus it's polyurethane, so it won't crack (like fiberglass) when you bottom out the front. This is what I've got installed on my 2000 Boxster S. It's not the wildest look, but better than standard, IMHO. Most of the other aftermarket options are fiberglass.

I'd recommend the GT3 front end from www.precisionporsche.com It's made of Polyurethane (so no fiberglass cracks), has the aperatures for optional GT3 lighting & is very affordable. Here's mine on my S-
