Paul,

Pioneers RCA Outputs are known to cause whinning issues. Try this...Take a strand of electrical wire, tie it around the connection of the Male/Femail RCA cables and GROUND the other end of the wire. This MIGHT cure your problem. I had to do this with my Avic-N2 when I had it.

Chitown,

I am not sure if the 700 and the 90 have different connectors. I would think that they both have Front Rear and Sub RCA outputs...

The version I have is the F90BT which is from Pioneers Premier line.

Trigem2K,
Thanks for the tip, I had no idea Pioneers had this issue but your idea makes sense. I saw your unit for $679 on low priced digital.com. WOW that's a great price. How much better is the screen resolution from the D3 to the F90BT?

Screen Res on the F Series is probably the BEST out of any Double Din unit out right now. 800x480 I believe is the exact res.

The only issue with the F series is the slow boot up time due to the fact that it uses Windows CE. The good part about that though is its VERY easily hacked.

Check out Avic411.com and you will see people have already hacked the F Series in so many ways.

I hope grounding the RCAs on Pauls unit solves his problem.

I personally REWIRED my entire car and left all the stock stereo wiring alone and tucked it away. I found when rewiring that you can not have the crossovers to the speakers anywhere inside the cabin on the drivers side. There are too many vehicle control units around that area that cause noise. I had both my Crossovers mounted under the passenger dash.
