Alarm going off

Since I treated the top yesterday and it drizzled this morning, I put the Boxster in the garage. While it has been in the garage (about 5 hours) the alarm has gone off 3 times. The garage is closed and there is nothing moving in the garage. There might be a fly in the garage, but nothing bigger than that. I'm not sure why it would be going off as it hasn't done that AFAIK before.

I also noticed that when I re-arm the alarm/lock the car, the little light on the dash flashes very fast (like 3 times) as it always does when I lock it, then it flashes 21 times quickly, then settles into its normal slow flash.

Is there any significance to those flashes? I checked the doors, glove box, and trunk lids and they are all secure. Is a faulty alarm module the only thing that could be causing this?

Top up or down? Could be a sticking top latch switch in the header.

Top up. I released the top and reclamped it. It hasn't gone off again since the original post.
