Fuse connector switch...?
I'm looking for a fuse connector so I can pull two wires from the fuse to a switch, (it's for my faulty horn that goes off when I brake). I wonder if such a device exist.

Why don't you just replace the faulty steering wheel bracket - that's what's causing the horn to sound. About $50 for the part and about 30 min. max to swap it out.
If you insist on tapping the fuse to install a switch, just get a set of blade-type fuse taps from Radio Shack. A pkg. of 4 costs $1 and the part # is 270-1204 |
Jim's right, you really should just fix the horn plate. It is a safety feature you really want to have working. No matter how good of a driver you are, when you least expect it......... you know the rest ;)
Anyhow, if you're short $ to replace the entire plate, you can always do the DIY fix and repair the worn bushings w/ either small o-rings from a hardware store, black silicone, or even a small piece of rubber hose. Here's a link w/ info on how to R&R http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=1728 :) |
