Tougher than normal Steering, low fluid?

I havent check the power steering fluid since i bought it 2 months ago but I've been readin I should have. The steering feels tougher than normal but still feels like im getting some assist. Could the slight toughness come from a low fluid? If it is im doing it right after work

Could be that its low enough to where it is pulling in air into the pressure line which will cause toughness and premature wear on your power steering pump... check the level quickly and also check your tire pressures.
