MAF causing engine blurp

I got a new no name brand MAF which is said to be based off of bosch MAF for my 2000 boxster. After installing it, i would here popping noises and stuttering each morning when the car was still cold. engine light hasn't come on but, the popping and stuttering always happens in the morning when my car is cold. I have a EVO intake, any ideas?

Did you replace it because you had a CEL? If so, since replacing it, has the CEL gone out? Also, are you sure you replaced it with the right one... e-gas or non-egas.

it should be e-gas, no cel so far, just that popping noise when i start up in the morning, it doesn't do it after i drive and start up again, pretty much when the engine is cool
