but of course, i gotta do my work first before cleaning and detailing the cars...hehehehehe!

Very nice !! You'll enjoy the kit. Skip their wax, because it's crap - use it on your DD. I see that you got the fancy kit with the Bag and everything - cool !!

I really like this machine and their polishes.

I'm really surprise when I open it coz' this is what I place in order when she ask me which one to get:

but instead, this is what I got  I called them up, describe what I got and they said that I got the right order :D

now, that's pretty cool

I will try everything out on my daughters car first before using it on the other 2...hehehehehe!

LoveBunny 06-22-2008 12:10 AM

What a great gift! My dad got me some stuff to wash my car from Griots, but it looks like you got more better stuff!

unklekraker 06-22-2008 08:00 AM

Thanks LB! I can't wait to try it out, hope I won't screw up :D

wait, you cant try it our untill your finished with your reports!!!!!!

944boy 06-22-2008 01:53 PM

Very nice! I plan on getting the porter-cable buffer one day. Have fun with it.

BTW: You'll be a little bit faster without the extra few ounces! Thats my excuse anyways, I had my gallbladder out 4 years ago.

But get those reports done! ;-)

RandallNeighbour 06-22-2008 04:14 PM

Betcha didn't know you need your gallbladder.... would God have put it in you if you didn't need it?

No more chili cheese fries or bacon cheeseburgers for you. The gallbladder secretes bile as needed to break down fatty foods.

Fruits and veggies from now on, my fine boxster driving friend!

Next time you want a slice of pizza, go out to the garage and buff out the boxster until you forget how much you loved greasy food :ah:

I'm betting the doctors read him the riot act before and after the surgery stating all this and a lot more

However, a low fat diet ends up making one feel a LOT better, with or without a gall bladder!

unklekraker 06-23-2008 06:23 AM

Randall, that is so true....when the doctor is reading all the stuff about what to do and what not to eat after the surgery, I feel like he was reading me my Miranda rights :D :D

And your idea about what to do everytime I feel like eating fatty foods, will make the Box clean and shiny all year long....hahahahaha!

but I'm going to be honest, last Friday, I ordered The Six Dollar Double Western Cheeseburger and Chili Fries @ Carls Jr and after eating it halfway, I feel full already and big time constipated all day. I guess that's my last goodbye to hamburgers :(

Blk...I feel guilty and went back to work today so I could finish up all my work and take Friday off instead so I could wash, polish and buff all day :D :D :D

LoveBunny 06-23-2008 09:24 AM

So if you can't eat all that crappy fatty food without a gallbladder, maybe I should have mine removed to force me to always eat healty.

Perfectlap 06-23-2008 09:38 AM

So you mean your wifey ordered the starter kit and they sent you the deluxe package for the same price?!

That stuff is expensive man! (particularly Griots) you made out like a bandit.
It will take you about 4 years to go through all that stuff.
post your before and after pics on their swirl removers. I don't think I've ever seen pics of the Griots treatment.

unklekraker 06-23-2008 09:56 AM

yap, PL..they send me the deluxe kit, that's why I called them up right away and told them what I got coz' I don't want to get billed for all of them and when they said that I got it right, I give my wife a bear hug right after eventhough the incision still hurting at that time :D :D :D

Did you say 4 years? Holy crap  ...I am a bandit now

for sure, I will post up the before and after. I can't wait

LB...the good thing about the before and after surgery is, I lost almost 20lbs in a month and a half...beat that Jared (the guy from subway sandwich commercial) hehehehehe!

Perfectlap 06-23-2008 10:17 AM

yeah four years easy.

You should only polish your car a few times a year, maybe with each season change. For each panel you should be using very little product. Maybe a nickel size. If you use too much product you will get the hologram or cloudy finish.
The PC videos link in my signature shows this common error.

The spray waxes and quick detailing sprays should last a couple of years at least. Those you should only use immediately after washes, if you use a rinseless wash then a little more frequently. The paste wax goes on monthly for a daily driver so that's another two years worth at least. Some people go overboard and wax every weekend..very bad for the paint.. too much touching.

with your color car its pretty hard for any wax not to do a good job. Even the turtle wax ice stuff at Pep Boys would do an A+ job....just won't last very long if you wash allot.

unklekraker 06-23-2008 07:44 PM

Thanks PL for all that info...preciated it
