Be Careful if your Porsche Pollutes too much....

Here is an excellent movie review of what will happen if we continue to pollute the air with our sports cars. I know after reading this I will be selling my car and buying a Prius. Here is link for a laugh: http://www.tnr.com/politics/story.html?id=75893f9a-3391-4ab5-88c8-cf7e74bcd835

On an interesting note, and a feeble attempt to avoid this thread from going to the "off topic" zone like the rest of the recent environmental posts, did you people know that Porsche was the FIRST guy to make a hybrid car?

I was trying to figure out how to spell Prius and did a Google search for "hybrid cars" and the WiKi shows that Ferdinand Porsche made the first gasoline-electric car in 1899. The link is here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_hybrid_vehicles

That is very interesting.

Who knew?

I am surprised that Porsche's marketing boys are not jumping all over this.

I believe it was all wheel drive as well. The first Carrera 4!

So, what will the enviro-socialists have to complain about when we get the new cars of 2009 & 2010 that run so clean that, in most larger cities, they put out cleaner air than they take in? What's shocking is the first ones are from American car companies. Now if they could just get those American cars to run for more than a year without a major problem, that would be impressive.

In the end, those "Happening" trees will have to pry my P-cars from my cold, dead hands. Especially the old one with no cats required!

Wow and that car led to his other major discovery in 1899 - that hybrid drivers never get laid. Thus leading Ferdinand Porsche to design sports cars. Who knew?

If you look very carefully, you can see a small puddle of oil under the car - the 1st documented RMS issue! They didn't know how to deal with it then so they ignored it, setting a precedent still followed today.
