Value of a Bosch Card to do a PST2 with a Laptop

Hi all, I was wondering what was the value of the pcmcia bosch card to do a PST2 with a laptop?.. the local porsche dealer service here is sh..t, and I would like to do my stuff my self.. :P I guess I would need a old computer (not a problem), getting the Bosch pcmcia Card, the Cables (from porsches), and the software.. what is that bosch card worth theses day? Does someone got a PST2 that could program something with me around ottawa? I know most of the peoples here don't like this subject but.. I'm trying anyway thanks (ps: I already have the durametric tool, but it just read and clear, can't really write or change settings )

You can always get the Durametric software package which comes with a cable. Depending on what year your 986 is you can do quite a few things with the Durametric package. It uses a usb port and works with XP and Vista so most newer laptops could be used.

Just a wild guess, but I would say the Bosch card with cables, software, and laptop are probably worth about $2,650 + shipping:
