This is a Boxster/Cayman info comparo. For Oldsters here - probably not much new.

The comments underneath the article are the hilarious part of the entire post. Boxsters are for badge whores that can't afford a 993, viva la 911 snobs to the rescue. Am I the only one here that would drive a 550 if it were available to me? Or an old speedster? I'm quite sure Porsche put the badge on because they consider the car a Porsche, then again I heard this same lame argument for the ten years I drove my much cherished 944. I read an article once where a former factory driver said the 924GT was his favorite Porsche, apparently he's an imbecile in the eyes of the "engine out over my ass end" crowd.

I would drive a 550 any day. I have even thought about a replica 550.
When I bought my 986 i could have bought a 911 but I chose a Boxster and I have never wished I had a 996.

The first two posts at the end of that article are from your typical "dickheads", "Wish I would have done my homework before I dropped an extra $50,000 large" comments. Now all they can do is dog the Boxster/Caymen and call us badge whores because we crashed their party.

I think of like getting in to see the movie for free and the guy next to me paid full price, LOL. :D
