MSN Top 10! ... We Made It!

Saw this while surfing ... coudn't stop myself from posting it. Considering the Boxster has been around so long, I'm really proud. This was out of a field of 53 ... they were not ranked 1-10.

MSN Top 10 Convertibles

"Porsche Boxster S ($55,700)
With a big brother like the legendary 911, the Boxster soft-top can get easily overlooked. But for 30 grand less than the least expensive 911 ragtop, the Boxster S is a bargain as well as a pure-blood sports car. Its superbly balanced mid-engine chassis is low, wide and grips the driver in a cozy embrace, and the free-revving 295-horsepower flat six gobbles miles without guzzling gas (18/26 mpg). The Boxster not only masters the back roads, it’s a quiet cruiser with the top up, and its two trunks make it a truly practical soft-top."

I guess Porsche can add another award to the Boxster's trophy case!

Quite frankly it is probably the best car on that list; however, some of the others that made the list are a bit of a surprise, such as the Chrysler Sebring. I would have chosen the Mazda Miata (MX-5) or BMW and Audi Convertibles over some on that list. Oh well, at least they got some of them right.

WOOT for the Boxster.

I agree with the Miata comment. That's a much better convertible than the Sebring.
