2001 boxster keys

we just bought boxster s and only got one key with the code head and two spare keys with no code. the "B" keys will open the doors and turn the asscessy on but will not start the car. my question: how can you use the "B" key if you loose the key with the code?

You can only use the "B" key to get into and out of the car. It will do you no good is you lose your first key.
I would advise that you buy and get programed another key head that has the wireless lock/unlock and immobilizer chip in it, and put it on your "B" key. Just make sure if you buy the key head used that it has a white tag with it so the dealer can program it.

keys

thanks. now what is the white tag for and if you get a used key how do you know the white tag is real? I take it that the white tag lets the dealer know that you haven't stolen the key.

The white tag has a code on it that the dealer needs to be a able to program the key for your car. I am not sure how to tell if one is fake or not, but I doubt someone would try to fake one.
