Vanity Plates Ideas?

I been thinking for months what kind of vanity plates I should get, I figure why not ask everyone on this forum for good ideas :-)

My car that I'm getting is a ruby red metallic with a that beige interior.

Any Ideas? I was going to get my last name, but that sounds a bit lame and cliche doesn't it?

Yeah, the last name is kinda lame.

ROOM42
SUN42
FUN42
KARKRZY (Car Crazy)
CARNUT
TOPLESS
ITKMTRU (It came true)
LIV42DA (Live for today)
4CURVES

*I was also born in september (9th month) of 86 ;) *

Most options were already taken but I got this:

Here's mine! In case you can't see it well it's "PSHN 40"

Oh, I finished my garage a month ago! I'm doing hardwood throughout my 1st floor now so the garage is a mess again with carpet padding etc... just for another week.

How's it look? I need to post more pics.

Here's my euphoria.

Not a plate, but a vanity frame.

Since license plate frames don't limit the number characters like plates do, why wouldn't it just say "euphoria" instead of U4RIA?

Furthermore, why not use U4IA -The "R" seems redundant.

Got a Florida license that says "BOXST3R". Boxster was already taken.
Looks great, although my wife thinks it's lame.

P.S. Could someone give me the directions on how to attach a picture to my threads. I can't find the directions on the forum home site.

Thanks

Eric

I was thinking about this recently as well....I kinda liked 9ATE6

PWebRPH 06-06-2008 09:45 AM

Is the member with the "SCHNELL" plate still here? I always liked that one.

I thought about vanity plates for a while after I got my Boxster, but then I decided that it might be better to remain relatively annonymous in a car like that. It's more difficult for someone to positively identify your random plate to an officer if they'd like to report you for say, passing them at 100mph on a two-lane highway. God forbid. I'm just sayin'. For example.

boxs2000 06-06-2008 11:14 AM

I once saw a black corvette with Nevada plates " UGO2SLO " but that is asking for trouble...

Wingnut2u 06-08-2008 05:06 AM

I was going to put ILIKBOX on the wife's Box but for some reason she wouldn't go for it.

Personally I liked it, I thought it worked well no matter which one if us was driving

She wants BOXSTAR or ESCARGO

Jaxonalden 06-08-2008 05:15 AM

I don't understand the correlation of ESCARGO, except for snail tracks?

Have her think about FUNNSUN.

Here are some funny links:

These are letters people took the time to write to complain about other people's vanity plates in Washington:

Here are letters to some other state that are pretty funny also:

Here is a letter where a guy tried to explain his plates GOTMILF:

Yup, that's me!

However, Texas only allows six letters so right now I'm "SCHNLL"

Fortunately, we're going to seven digits/letters in January and it will be upgraded to be fully spelled SCHNELL

I can't wait.

I just found another classic. The guys had a problem with the plates "GETN SUM" and in his response letter he points out the the other guys name is Dickinson and suggests he change his name since some people might think it means something else. ie. Dick-in-son.

Here is the letter: http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/flatags11.html

Finally figured out how to add photo.

That is sweet, I remembered you had to shorten it so good for you. That will always be my favorite. The Box is my first vehicle without vanity plates, mostly because I couldn't think of one, but I didn't want to copy someone elses.... still debating though.
