EcoGeeks get all the girls
By Hank Green Posted Wed May 28, 2008 1:59am PDT
Just in case you needed another reason to care about the environment: It turns out girls dig guys who dig environmental technology.

According to a study conducted by GM as part of this year's Challenge X competition:

Nearly 9 in 10 women (88 percent) say they'd rather chat up someone who owns the latest fuel-efficient car versus the latest sports car.

I think I would rather have a girl that likes to hug a root than hug a tree :D

Depends where they talk to these girls.

If this was done in Seattle, I see how this result came about.

If in say, Dallas, I would suggest a different outcome.

Whatever, I like the Box and that is all that matters to me.

:)

Just another example that proves environmentalists cannot tell the truth for more than 5 minutes. I wish we could put neck bombs on these people hooked up to a lie detector. As soon as they lie, ka-boom.

I looked up this article. The author also says this:

...........More than four out of 10 (45 percent) 18-43 year-olds say it’s a fashion faux-pas nowadays to have a car that is not green or environmentally friendly........

PERFECT example of making statistics say what you want. When was the last time you saw the age range go from 18 to 43 when doing surveys?? It should be 18-25 or even 18-35. Really, how much do people over 40 have in common with people 18?

My bet, and I will put money on this, is the 18-25 group was like 1 in a 500. Then they found some wannabe hippies in the 38-43 range to offset the numbers. So with some convenient hippie math they came up with this 45% number.

I also wonder how the question was asked? Maybe it was like "with gas at XXX a gallon, would you prefer a more environmentally car?"......or was it "Hey, 18 year old kid, would you like to drive my Porsche or this Primus?"

This is a pure attempt to indoctrinate young people into a BS mind frame. Basically they are now saying if you want to get laid you better be one of us. A total joke.

And if you ask this same question down south, the answer is women prefer guys with large jacked-up trucks over both sports cars and green cars

100% of 18-43 year old woman who have dated me prefer sports cars to green cars. I am an average guy. Therefore, 100% of 18-43 woman who date average guys prefer sports cars. Wild statistical claims often use wild statistical reasoning.

That's why my 911 is green...the chicks dig it! (they don't know the difference)

Brucelee 06-04-2008 03:56 PM

You guys are picking on the greens. They will cry! :D

This is really an advantage to guys that like their gals a little on the fast side. It's a natural culling process and will eventually save you time and money!

Top Gear did the most classic video of all time on the environmental car. Watch this: http://youtube.com/watch?v=iS79SrI7T0s
