New 19" rims on Boxster S with pics

Hey guys,

I just figured I'd show you some pictures taken of new rims/tires on my 02 Boxster S. What attracted to me is they are actually several pounds lighter per wheel than my factory solid spoke turbo twist. They are wrapped in BF Goodrich G-Force tires, 265/30/19 in rear and 235/35/19 in fronts. I love the look, and the ride quality honestly isn't significantly different, probably aided by the lighter wheels. These are replicas of the Carrera Sport, an option on the new Box.

Looks nice, either or you lowered?

Love the white DDB. Didnt realize anyone else had these rims. I love em! Car is factory ride height, can't wait to try out new rubber in the twisties!

Thanks Brent.

BOXZING,

Not yet and not sure I will. I really like the looks of the car lowered. I was concerned about losing ride quality, but have read accounts of ride quality actually improving. Another big concern is losing ground clearance with the car lowered. I also have a couple of mods I would like to do before considering ride height.

Here are a couple of pics that Jeph was nice enough to PS of my car lowered. The first is stock, the second lowered and the third even lower.

I don't know if they allow it in NC, but I think it would look really good with limo tint, or mirrored tint of some kind on the windows
