Lifting the Boxster
Ok so I am guessing that many Boxster DIYers out there don't have a professional lift at home. I know I don't. So I was wondering how do you guys get under your P-Cars. Please explain a little on how you get around the problem of having a super low mid-engine car, would hlep some of us out, Thanks.

I use a floor jack and a lift pad. Several places sell floor jacks...sears...harbor freight ect.

To get the Boxster on jack stands you'll want to use the hockey puck method with alternate jack point. Look here for details http://boxsters.addr.com/jacking.htm

Sounds and looks good, so I am assuming that You just get two jacks and lift on boths sides (The right and left) at the proper jack points. Wheel chucks or blocks at the front tire to keep it from rolling forward?

No, you don't need two jacks. Just jack it up in the middle. The crossmember is very stout and I think that's what most use. Then you put the jack stands in place. Or you can another route with ramps like these.

I like the ramp Idea, and do have a set, just not sure if they would give a person enough clearance to get under the P-car and do some work. I am thinking that at that degree of angle the front lip or bumper may scrape with the ramps. Guess there would be only one way to find out huh?

Definately use a lift pad with the floor jack. I had my jack slip and put a 1/4" crease in the lower unibody. Luckily it can only be seen from the ground.
