Blower Not Kicking On

My 2002 Boxster air blower is not kicking on. It was working fine up until now. and of course it's just starting to get over 100 degreees here so AC is crucial. The AC controls light up and work (all buttons function as expected) but they just don't seem to do anything.

Before I start really digging into this does anyone have any quick thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

So what your saying is that your A/C Blower fan isnt blowing when you turn your A/C or heater on.... Check the fuses first, get back to us after you do that cause most likely its blown or someone barrowed that fuse for some other fuse that popped.

I spent a little time troubleshooting this one and it's not a fuse issue. It seems to be an ignition issue.

I discovered, as it started raining, that my wipers are not working either. When I realized they did not work I instinctivley flipped them all the way down (not the off position). When i shut the car off the wiper started as I passed thru the accessory position on the ignition.

So I turned it to accessory and my wipers and blower worked. I started the car and both turned off. I then turned the key slightly to the left, without shutting the car off, and the blower and wipers worked. So it seems like the key is turning to far to the right and cutting of contact for the power.

Anyone have experience with such an issue?

Ignition switch?

Do a search on ignition switch.. a 45 dollar DIY fix. Same thing happened to me this past week, fan didn't work , key acting weird in lock, buzzers telling me key was still in car when it wasn't, dead battery from something drawing power all week that shouldn't....

2001 Blower motor not working...

Hi all, I have the same problem with my 2001 boxster.

I got caught in the rain last fall, it was a deluge... up until then everything worked fine AC/heater motor at all speeds.

The next morning nothing... nadda... you know the rest.

I bought a Bentley's manual and just pulled my car out of storage.

Checked the fuses by pulling them, check with my test light for power at the fuse box all is ok.

I am trying to figure out how to test the heater relay. any ideas?

I also tried removing the the right hand vent pipe to get to the blower motor to check for power at the plug but I am afraid to yank on the pipe and break it as it is a tight fit.

The manual does not show any details :(

Thanks.

TC
