Engine Help

Ok guys, I need to replace the Camshaft Position Sensor on bank one. Have any of you done this? Bank 2 is a cake walk, but the sensor on bank 1 is burried. It is barely visible. The only way to even see it, is if you take off the top engine cover, and look down next to a large cylinder, and past a hose. I do not know what this cylinder is, but it is firmly mounted. I can see the wires and the top of the connector, however, I cannot see the bolt that holds it in. Any advice anyone can offer? FYI, I have no local dealer, the car cannot be driven, my main mechanic is in the hospital, and I would prefer not to have it towed to some far off dealer.

According to Bentley, the CMP sensors are at the rear of the right cylinder head and front of the left cylinder head. I'm assuming they're looking at the engine from the rear of the car and right would be passenger side and left would be driver side. So the driver's side CMP sensor would be at the front of the cylinder head. They say to disconnect the electrical connnector and remove the bolt, which is at the bottom of the sensor.

Hope that helps.
