Anyone looking for a 3.6L engine?

Found this while surfing Ebay. 5K would probbaly take it. No reserve.

Isn't the mileage on the engine kinda high for an engine transplant?

Almost 70K miles is on the high side for a 2003 engine, but still 70,000 miles really isn't that many. There should be a lot of life left in an engine with 70,000 miles. Plus, there is no core charge like you get with the salvage yards so you can keep your old engine or sell it. You could potentially get this engine for free if you sold your 3.2L and just be out for the labor to have it swapped. I see 3.2L going for 5k+ all day long on ebay.

Strange, he says there's no reserve yet he made the starting bid $5,000  . He also says "It will be shipped straight from the shop in Charleston" and "I want to ship everything as soon as possible and make room in my garage", makes me wonder the true mileage  .

70000 is a lot for a transplant... remember this engine runs the 7.8 DME so its a very extensive swap for 5.2.2 and 7.2 DME based cars... You will most likely not be able to go to any porsche shop and pay them to do the swap... successfully.

Very true. This would only be an easy and clean swap for 03 and 04 boxsters with motronic 7.8. If I just had 5 grand lying around I'd probably buy it myself.
