Short Throw Shifter Voiding CPO Warranty?

Hey All,

I just ordered a schnell SSK and am pretty excited about it. Just got my boxster 6 months ago and it is CPO with a warranty for 2 years. Would installing the shifter void my warranty? I also bought some aluminum pedals but I figured that wouldn't be a problem. Any thoughts?

They won't cover you cracking your new shift lever in half, but other than that everything should be covered as usual. As long as a repair is not a direct result of your modification, they won't give you trouble.

I have a HIGH level of cynacism when it comes to Porsche and the CPO. If you have the CPO paperwork (doubtful) read to see what it says.

If not, if it were me, I would check it out with service mgr at dealership (not your salesmen, who will tell you whatever is in his mind at the moment.

These factory weasels usually look for anything to deny (direct quote from my srv mgr.).
