The front trunck/dead battery issue (I know this is an old issue)

All:
I know this is an old debated issue, however I just got done helping my mechanically challenged freind with a 2000 S. He didnt trickle the battery over the winter and had a dead battery and couldnt open the front trunck. Did a quick search on the site and pulled up alot of people that tore apart the passenger wheel well on pre 2001 cars. We went to Target and purchased a thing made by Black and Decker that plugs into the cigarette lighter of a donor vehicle with a charged battery and the cigarette lighter of the dead Porsche. Had the trunk open in 2 seconds, cost $20. I understand if the Porshe is your only car you could buy a battery pack that plugs into the cigarette lighter also, or call a friend.

No need to waste time tearing apart your car for this problem.

I know some of you know this but if you do a search one may be lead to tear into the wheel well.....
