DECATz in DA HOUSE

i could'nt help it............i pressed the buy now button, now i'm the proud owner of a pair of decat pipes, does anyone else run decat's? i'm told there will be a slight improvment in power and may sound slightly better? yes i'm not supposed to run them on the street but it's still kinda cold in the UK so i'm trying to do my bit to warm it up a little

Are you talking about deleting your catalytic converters?

You may find your ECU needs remapping without them.

well they say no changes are needed plus no problems with the cel indicator light on the dash coming on, and the lambda sensors screw right in, this is why i started the thread to see if anyone had experience with them. when i put them on i'll tell ya how i got on

What year is your car?

I have seen many 2.7's and newer remove the 1st set of cats with no problems.

As far as 2.5's go we only have one set of cats and there is at least one car on the board who removed his only set of cats from the 2.5 but had his ecu remapped.

If you have a 2.5 please post your results after you removed the cats.

interesting, i wonder if he had it remapped through choice or if he HAD to get it remapped, yes mine is a 2.5 so i'll tell you all how i get on
